About Self-Defense
We do not claim to be the "Ultimate System" for self-defense, because we believe that there is no such thing.
Our belief is that self-defense is about protecting your body in any way necessary. The best protection is avoiding dangerous circumstances, but violent crime is sometimes unavoidable. When faced with violence, we must be prepared to defend ourselves from harm.
Our goal is to equip you for self-defense to the level you choose to prepare for with the purpose of allowing you to escape violent situations and reach safety as quickly as possible.
Some of the things you will learn:
- Kicks, punches, blocks
- Joint locks and throws
- Weapons
- Grappling

Fighting is not Self-Defense
Students who consistently train with us become fully equipped to excel in the Sport of Martial Arts competition. This is what we call "Sparring", and is in no way similar to self-defense.
Competitive Martial Arts events are enjoyable opportunities to test our skills against other Martial Arts practitioners. The difference between Kung Fu for Sport and Kung Fu for self-defense is that in self-defense our opponent intends to violently harm us, leaving us with the single objective of protecting ourselves and those around us from harm.
We are confident you will find our Kung Fu is superior for the purpose of Self-Defense.
