Leave your burdens at the door, take a deep breath and relax with Tai Chi.
Our Tai Chi Classes are available as a standalone enrollment for those who would like to focus on Tai Chi.
Tai Chi is a form of moving meditation which is based on effective self-defense movements. Join our practice of Tai Chi and learn how to face the foes of worry and stress with complete relaxation and self-confidence!
Researchers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine have found that arthritis pain may be combatted with Tai Chi.
Forgive us if we seem to boast, but we are both humbled and proud of how close to the source we are:
Cheng Man-ch'ing, famous Tai Chi Grand Master, is the founder of our Tai Chi style. While living in Hawaii in the 1950s, Shi Gung Runes learned this style of Tai Chi from a direct student of Cheng Man-ch'ing. Years later, Shi Gung Runes passed it on to Shi Fu Hinton.
Cheng Man-ch'ing is best known in the West for his tai chi ch'uan also known as the "Yang-style short form." He was trained in Chinese medicine, tai chi ch'uan, and the three perfections: calligraphy, painting and poetry. Because of his skills in these five areas (among some of the traditional skills and pastimes of a Confucian scholar in traditional China) he was often referred to as the "Master of the Five Excellences."
